Not at all! While many of our members live in Darien, we welcome women from neighboring communities who want to give back, make friends, and get involved.

Yes! We'd love to meet you. Prospective members are welcome to attend a general meeting to get a feel for the club before deciding if it's the right fit. The meeting dates are listed on the home page.

Your level of involvement is up to you. We require all members to be part of at least one committee. We understand life is busy, and we encourage members to participate in ways that fit their schedules.

Our General Meetings are typically held once a month from September through May. In addition, committees meet throughout the year to plan projects, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and social events. Members can choose which activities they'd like to attend.

Annual membership dues are $55 and help support club operations, member programming, our ability to serve the community throughout the year and pay GFWC.

Absolutely! Members are encouraged to join the committee that best matches their interests, whether that's community service, fundraising, scholarships, membership, communications, social events, or another area. Many members even participate on more than one committee.

No. We know our members have busy lives, and we understand that not everyone can make every event. Members are encouraged to participate in volunteer projects, committee meetings, and social events as their schedules allow.
