Who We Are

The Darien Woman's Club is a local service organization founded in 1970 by a group of women interested in promoting civic pride, cultural improvement, and unity among the women of the city of Darien and surrounding communities. The club, a charitable and not for profit organization, is affiliated with the Illinois and the General Federation of Women's Clubs.

What We Do

The monthly meetings consist of a variety of speakers, programs, and entertainment followed by a business meeting and refreshments. Programs feature topics relating to personal, family, home, and community interests.

The Club's many community projects are supported by fund raisers. These have included an arts and crafts fair, fashion show, housewalk, bridge and pinochle marathons, Fall and Spring children's clothing resales, and hanger sales.

We have many interest groups for recreation and education, such as golf, bowling, book review, bridge, pinochle, couples dinner groups, ladies luncheons, as well as a babysitting co-op and a mom and tot play group.
